“There is a nobility in the duty to care for creation through little daily actions, and it is wonderful how education can bring about real changes in lifestyle. Education in environmental responsibility can encourage ways of acting which directly and significantly affect the world around us, … […] All of these reflect a generous and worthy creativity which brings out the best in human beings. (LS 211)”

As a reflection on our commitment to the Laudato Si’ Goals, we deepen its integration and realization into our schools. Our related events and projects all emphasize the importance of environmental protection and the integrity of creation. As an example, our teachers at the Karolina School in Szeged (HU) have set up a volunteer team to promote and implement the seven goals.

This initiative proved to be so successful that a group of our students from Karolina High School has successfully applied for the Erasmus+ KA229 grant as a partner of Losada High School (Vigo, Spain). A group of our students, together with students from Greece and Belgium, are participating in the SWAP project (Students Against Water and Air Pollution), an international collaboration to measure and prevent water and air pollution.
