2024 – 2033
We invite you today to look ahead to the celebration of 200 years of the School Sisters of Notre Dame. This celebration in 2033 is nine years away, and as an experience of being united in prayer in preparation for this feast, we offer a Nine-Year Novena according to the model of other novenas for nine days. Prayer unites us easily beyond borders and languages and can open our hearts to the work of God in our midst.
Each year of the novena will focus on a particular part of You Are Sent and on one of our ancestors of sacred history. We will begin on October 24, our foundation day, the first year with St. Augustine and community as the theme of the year.
May this common initiative strengthen our unity and call us to renew our daily living of You Are Sent in our world today.

Triune God, you bless us with the example of St. Augustine who searched for you with a burning heart during his entire life. He expressed his love for you in preaching and in living in communion with others.
Help us to seek you always and to express our love for you by forming and living the faith community we have been called to live. Strengthen our bonds of respect, understanding, love and support for one another. Give us the grace to share what we have received with others. Make us true witnesses of your love reaching out in our world today. Amen.
