Our current Constitution and General Directory were approved by the 13th  General Chapter in 1970. The Congregation for Religious and Secular Institutes approved the document as amended according to the observation of the Sacred Congregation. The letter of acceptance was dated March 25, 1986. In the foreword to the Constitution Sister Mary Margaret Johanning, General Superior, wrote “At our deepest core we find a strong desire for the Transcendent, for God. Our constitution affirms this inherent desire and need for God and repeatedly calls us to an ongoing intimate relationship with God which enables us to allow God to be our and to see all else in of this relationship.”
