Today the people of the world are challenged to eliminate the root causes of injustice.

Many members of the congregation, work on the local level to realize a world of peace, justice,  and love.  Some members work through the legal system or with political and international organizations. As members of the congregation, we confront injustice and seek ways to act for people to act justly,  to value human labor rightly, and to respect the dignity of every person.

In many ways, this is like the position of the United Nations has taken by sponsoring a day to promote human rights, remove artificial social barriers based on race, gender, or religion, and stand up for the rights of migrants, the disabled and the elderly.
