This feast is celebrated on the Sunday following Pentecost. It celebrates one of the central doctrines of the Trinity– it is the unity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as three persons in one God. The doctrine of the Trinity is considered to be one of the central Christian beliefs about God.
