Earth Day is every day
April 22, 1970, was the first Earth Day. Today it is a worldwide movement. One of the activities that seek to involve people locally is the great Global Cleanup. The worldwide campaign seeks to involve people of all ages in removing trash from their neighborhoods, beaches, rivers, lakes, trails, and parks. At the Generalate in Rome sisters have gone out to collect the trash and deposit it in a proper disposal unit. They are not only focused on plastics and paper but on removing dead plants so new plants have a chance to grow.
