All Souls’ Day, also known as the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed and the Day of the Dead. It is a day of prayer and remembrance for the faithful departed. This is done through prayer, intercessions, alms, and visits to the burial site of the deceased. St. Odilo of Cluny standardized how Catholics observed this day.
